These Official Giveaway & Sweepstakes Rules (“Official Rules”) apply to all promotions, giveaways, sweepstakes, or contests (each a “Promotion”) offered by The New York Games through any website, platform, or channel, unless otherwise stated in writing.

Coaching groups or membership communities
Social media platforms
Live or virtual events
2. ELIGIBILITY
Promotions are open to individuals who:
Are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry
Are legal residents of jurisdictions where such Promotions are permitted by law
Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
Employees, contractors, agents, and immediate family members of the Sponsor are not eligible to enter or win.
3. IMPORTANT JURISDICTION NOTICE
Laws governing giveaways and sweepstakes vary by state, country, and territory.
The Sponsor intends to comply with all applicable laws; however, eligibility may vary by location.If a Promotion is prohibited, restricted, or requires registration, bonding, or government approval in your jurisdiction, you are not eligible, and your entry will be void.
4. HOW TO ENTER – NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
There are two (2) methods of entry. Both methods provide equal odds of winning.
METHOD 1: ONLINE / COMMUNITY ENTRY (OPTIONAL)
Participants may receive entries through Sponsor-designated activities announced in connection with a Promotion, which may include:
Correct answers for puzzles or video responses on our website, often sourced from social media related puzzles and videos
Participation in our real life game community through any New York Games events
Online forms or sign-ups
Email campaigns
Attendance at live or virtual events
Participation in any paid product, service, membership, or coaching program is not required to enter or win.
5. PROMOTION PERIOD
Each Promotion begins and ends on the dates and times specified in the applicable Promotion announcement.
The Sponsor’s system clock is the official timekeeping device.
6. PRIZES
Prize details, including description, quantity, and approximate retail value (ARV), will be disclosed in the applicable Promotion announcement.
General prize conditions:
No cash alternative unless required by law
Non-transferable
Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value
7. ODDS OF WINNING
Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period.
8. WINNER SELECTION
Winner(s) will be selected at random from all eligible entries received.
The Sponsor’s decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to the Promotion.
9. WINNER NOTIFICATION
Winner(s) will be notified using the contact information provided at entry.
If a potential winner:
Does not respond within 7 days
Is determined to be ineligible
Declines the prize
An alternate winner may be selected.
10. TAXES & REPORTING
Winner(s) are solely responsible for all federal, state, local, and international taxes, duties, customs fees, or other charges associated with receipt of a prize.
For U.S. winners, the Sponsor may issue an IRS Form 1099 where required by law.
International winners are responsible for any taxes or import duties imposed by their country of residence.
11. PUBLICITY RELEASE
By accepting a prize, winner(s) grant the Sponsor permission to use their name, likeness, voice, city/state/country of residence, and/or testimonial for promotional, advertising, and marketing purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor from any claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising from participation in the Promotion or acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize.
The Sponsor is not responsible for:
Technical failures or system errors
Human error
Lost, late, or incomplete entries
Events beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control
13. DISQUALIFICATION
The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who:
Violates these Official Rules
Attempts to tamper with the Promotion
Engages in fraudulent, deceptive, or unsportsmanlike conduct
14. CANCELLATION OR MODIFICATION
The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify any Promotion if fraud, technical failure, legal restrictions, or any other factor impairs the integrity of the Promotion.
15. PLATFORM DISCLAIMER
Promotions are not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with any social media platform, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, or X.
16. GOVERNING LAW
All Promotions are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
17. WINNERS LIST
To request the name of the winner(s), send a written request to the Sponsor’s mailing address listed above within 30 days of the Promotion’s end date.
18. GENERAL CONDITIONS
Sponsor’s failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver
If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect
These Official Rules constitute the entire agreement regarding Promotions
